Johnson's career total of 110 shutouts, is a record that will stand for as long as baseball is played. I always want to compare "Big Train" to Christy Mathewson when discussing best pitcher ever (pre- WWII), still not for sure who comes out on top. Interesting tidbit, it was said Johnson's hands were so big, a few of his fingers completely encircled the ball and could touch the bottom of his palm. If true, you'd think this would hurt his ability to control his pitches ... apparently not. Great reading up on Mr. Johnson, thanks for the article.
